29.08.2024CGPA experts joined an important corporate reform initiative at Mykolaivvodokanal

In cooperation with the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative (EUACI), Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm and other experts, CGPA is actively working on introducing effective corporate governance models at one of Mykolaiv’s key utility companies.

One of the key elements of the reform will be the establishment of a supervisory board that will help guide the company’s management to achieve strategic goals and increase transparency, accountability, and efficiency of Mykolaivvodokanal.

The reform, which includes the establishment of a supervisory board, an internal audit system, improved procurement processes, and a clear control and reporting system, is designed to significantly enhance the efficiency of Mykolaivvodokanal’s operations and minimize risks.

CGPA experts—Oleksandr Okuniev and Volodymyr Igonin, members of the CGPA Board of Directors—took an active part in developing the Roadmap, which defines the principles and regulates the conditions for implementing corporate governance at the enterprise. The Roadmap is based on the OECD recommendations and takes into account the best corporate governance practices adopted in Ukraine.

On August 19, the Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, signed a decree implementing the Roadmap for introducing corporate governance at Mykolaivvodokanal.
