On February 15, 2023, Pavlo Verkhnyatskyi, Managing Partner and Director at COSA, together with Yuliya Vrublevska, Project Coordinator at Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC), shared their knowledge and expertise as the speakers of a workshop named “How to conduct integrity checks on a non-profit organisation (NGO): useful experience and tips”. The workshop was initiated by the Corporate Governance Professional Association (CGPA) with the support of CIPE Ukraine.

It was part of a series of workshops focused on promoting transparency and accountability of public volunteer and charity organisations.

The speakers outlined why, how, and who should conduct integrity due diligence on NGOs, compared the way due diligence is conducted within business activities and the non-commercial sector, as well as provided a comprehensive structure of a background check itself with the involvement of both OSINT and HUMINT methods.
