
On October 6-7, 2021, the first module of the XV Program of professional development of members of boards of directors and supervisory boards, “Corporate Director,” took place. The Program is designed for members of supervisory boards, management boards, advisory boards, owners, top managers of private and public companies, and professionals who want to become a part of this community.

Yulia Kholodkova, IFC ESG Project Coordinator in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Corporate Governance Officer, Team Leader, ECA ESG Advisory Program, opened the Program. Julia stressed the importance of corporate governance and its development. She noted the successful cooperation of IFC with the CGPA in implementing good corporate governance and ESG standards in Ukraine.

Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board and Program Team Lead, noted the main elements of the corporate governance model, spoke about the roles and competencies of the company’s board, and the composition of the composition board and succession planning.
The Corporate Director Program is training, case analysis and life hacking, and high-level networking with like-minded people.
Members of the boards of directors and supervisory boards of Ukrainian and foreign companies share their practical experience with the Program participants.

Oleg Zhuravlov, Member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia (2019-2021), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IC Krona, Member of the Advisory Board of Eurometa, focused on the standards, approaches, and developments of the proper organization of the Board of Directors and its committees , and separately spoke about the Induction Session for new Board members.

The Corporate Director Program deepens the full range of knowledge and competencies necessary for the successful work of a corporate director (member of the board of directors) – from industry and worldview to a deep understanding of business drivers and management processes.

Iryna Starodubova, Associate Partner of Capital Times, and Sergey Goncharevich, Founder and Managing Partner of Capital Times, spoke with program participants about the company’s interaction with investors and the development of business financing strategies.
The Program is conducted in a mixed format in compliance with all quarantine requirements; some students participated online.
