On October 5, 2021, Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board, participated in a meeting of the Chamber Compliance Club, which was devoted to a discussion on ” The Strategy for Professional Development of Ukrainian Compliance Officers“.

O.Okuniev shared with the participants the history of the introduction and development of a training program for specialists in anti-corruption compliance in Ukraine, which has been implemented by the CGPA in cooperation with CIPE since 2017. He noted that almost 300 specialists from Ukraine and abroad have successfully completed the program and received certificates.

The next program is scheduled for November 1-5, 2021. Registration is opened.

The meeting was opened by Maryna Romas, Co-Chair of the Chamber Compliance Club, Head of Ethics & Business Integrity, Sanofi-Aventis Ukraine, Orest Stasiuk, Co-Chair of the Chamber Compliance Club, Counsel, Asters, Pavlo Verkhniatsky, Co-Chair of the Chamber Compliance Club, Managing Partner, COSA, who welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of training and development for compliance officers.

Tetyana Havanska, Legal and Political Analyst, Anti-Corruption Division, Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs, OECD, spoke about OECD support of the professional development of Ukrainian compliance officers.

Katya Lysova, Project and Program Manager in Eurasia, CIPE, shared the view of the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) on the anti-corruption compliance programs in Ukraine.

Marina Romas and Yulia Karabkina, Group Compliance Officer, Element Group, discussed the internal experience of professional training and development of compliance officers in Ukrainian and international companies.

Antonina Prudko, Head of the Head of the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC) Secretariat, spoke about the prospects of establishing Business Integrity Academy: a system of the professional development of compliance officers in Ukraine.

The meeting ended with an open discussion of the strategy of professional development of compliance specialists in Ukraine.
