On January 26, 2022, the Corporate Governance Professional Association experts conducted a workshop on anti-corruption compliance and corporate governance for the management of the State Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Automobile Roads” upon the Supervisory Board’s request company.
The workshop program included a review of building an effective corporate governance model and anti-corruption compliance. In particular, the issues of conflict of interest, internal processing of third party data, communications related to compliance issues, third party due diligence, tools and methods of corporate intelligence in the compliance system were considered. There was also a separate discussion of the channels for consultation and reporting of violations (“Hot Line”), legislative innovations in Ukraine to protect whistleblowers and the mechanism of confidential reporting.
Sergiy Simak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SJSC “Ukrainian Automobile Roads”, opened the workshop.
The speakers at the seminar were Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the Board of the Professional Association of Corporate Governance, Olga Shenk, Counsel, Dispute Resolution and Compliance Practice Coordinator, CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang, Pavlo Verhnyatsky, Founder and CEO of COSA, Oleg Lagodiyenko, Director of Ethicocontrol.
There were 18 participants in the seminar. Members of the Supervisory Board, the Management Board and anti-corruption specialists were among them.
