On 28 July 2023, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Corporate Governance Professional Association (CGPA) and the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU). A new page of state corporate governance has been started.
“The State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Corporate Governance Professional Association have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, under which we plan to “change everything”, said Oleksandr Fedoryshyn, Deputy Head of the SPFU, during the signing of the Memorandum.
The main issues of cooperation will be focused on eliminating the problems with the highest risks, such as the appointment of top management, supervisory boards and others.
Under this Memorandum, the parties agreed to make joint efforts to organise cooperation and coordinate actions aimed at developing and improving corporate governance, implementing generally accepted international corporate governance standards for public sector entities managed by the SPFU, combining efforts in selecting and building reliable and effective instruments for exercising corporate rights owned by the state in the authorised capital of business entities, managing by SPFU.
“The CGPA is pleased to join the implementation of the best corporate governance practices in the management of state-owned enterprises and to establish close cooperation in the process of implementing international corporate governance standards at Ukrainian enterprises,” summed up Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Board of Directors.
