17.06.2025A growing professional community: results of the meeting of Corporate Director alumni in Kyiv

On June 14, 2025, the InterContinental Kyiv hotel hosted the annual meeting of graduates of the Corporate Director program, which for the third time became a powerful platform for professional networking, exchange of experience, and discussion of current trends in corporate governance.

This year, the event brought together over 150+ alumni who hold management and advisory roles in business, non-profit organizations, and the public sector. The highlight of the meeting was a panel discussion on “Career Development of a Corporate Director: Supervisory and Advisory Boards in Non-Profit Organizations.”

Program graduates shared their experiences with participants:

  • Volodymyr Tsoy, co-owner and president of the MTI group of companies, member of the Supervisory Board of the National Aviation University (2024)
  • Larysa Latypova, Deputy CEO at SOCAR Energy Ukraine, Director of Corporate Governance, member of the Board of Ukrmilkinvest LLC, member of the Board of the Ukrainian Women’s Fund, Chair of the Board of the Perspective Educational Center NGO
  • Galyna Zagorodnyuk, Partner at Image Lawyers Law Firm, Member of the Community Council (Advisory Board) of the Aspen Institute Kyiv
  • Serhiy Goncharevych, Founder and Managing Partner of Capital Times, Co-founder and Member of the Board of the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation
  • Dmytro Sergienko, member of the Audit, Risk and Ethics Committee of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, Director of the Internal Audit Department at PJSC UKRNAFTA

The moderators were Oleksiy Dolgikh, Managing Partner at Boyden Ukraine, and Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the Board of Directors at CGPA.

Participants discussed the role of corporate directors in non-profit organizations, the specifics of forming advisory boards, ethical challenges, and new opportunities for professional growth in this segment.

After the discussion, participants continued their conversation in an informal atmosphere, which was an equally important part of the meeting. This format allowed participants to get to know each other better, reconnect with colleagues, and establish new professional contacts. Alumni shared their career development stories, discussed the challenges and prospects of working on supervisory boards, and identified potential areas for cooperation. The atmosphere of trust and shared values made the evening part of the event particularly warm and inspiring — this is how a community of corporate directors grows and strengthens.

It has become a pleasant tradition that all participants in the event contribute to the Corporate Directors Solidarity Fund, an initiative that unites the community in supporting colleagues in difficult times and important social projects.

For the third year in a row, Boyden Ukraine and Winner Leasing, companies that actively support the development of corporate governance in Ukraine, were partners of the event.
