Oleg Lagodiyenko

Director of Ethicontrol LLC; Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih

Oleg Lagodiyenko is an expert in corporate governance, compliance and business ethics with more than 15 years of professional experience.

He is Co-founder and CEO of Ethicontrol, a software company that develops solutions for automating whistleblowing and speak-up channels, internal investigations, corporate security functions and compliance processes, including conflict-of-interest management and third-party due diligence.

Oleg is one of the pioneers in introducing comprehensive business ethics and anti-fraud programs in Ukraine. He has participated in internal investigations involving cases with an aggregate value exceeding USD 1 billion.

He has extensive experience in international consulting and the corporate sector, having worked with System Capital Management (SCM), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and KPMG.

Oleg currently serves as an Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee at PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. He has served on supervisory boards since 2012, focusing on the implementation of best practices in corporate governance, risk management, internal control and audit. The company’s official disclosures confirm his status as an independent member of the Supervisory Board and Chair of its Audit Committee; he was re-elected to the Supervisory Board in April 2026.

He has worked in corporate governance since 2007, including advising companies on accessing international capital markets and preparing for initial public offerings. He regularly advises businesses on building effective corporate governance, internal control and compliance systems.

Oleg is actively involved in developing the professional community. He has worked with the Corporate Governance Professional Association since 2019 and has been a member of the Association since 2024. Since 2020, he has taught on the Compliance Officer Training Program, delivering the courses Corruption Risk Management and Building an Effective Whistleblowing System. He is also a co-author of the second edition of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Handbook.

He contributes to the development of Ukraine’s business ethics ecosystem as an expert and trainer for professional organisations, including the Ukrainian Network of Integrity and Compliance (UNIC), the Association of Corporate Security Professionals of Ukraine (ACSPU), the Ukrainian Compliance Association (UCA), and others.

Oleg holds a Doctor of Economic Sciences degree, awarded in 2025, and a PhD in Law, awarded in 2012. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He studied at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and completed international educational programs, including those offered by Carleton University and the Ukrainian School of Political Studies.

Together with Ethicontrol, Oleg helps clients strengthen their corporate culture, develop compliance systems, manage risks and prevent fraud.
