The Corporate Governance Professional Association of Ukraine (CGPA) is deeply saddened to announce that on April 7, 2026, at the age of 74, Igor Mitiukov—an outstanding statesman, economist, and member of the CGPA National Registry of Corporate Directors Council—has passed away.
Ihor Oleksandrovych was one of the architects of Ukraine’s financial system—serving as Minister of Finance in four governments, Deputy Governor of the National Bank, and Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom. He also applied his vast experience to corporate governance: he chaired the supervisory board of the National Depository of Ukraine, served as an independent member of the supervisory board of Oschadbank, and was a member of the supervisory board of Ukrposhta. As a member of the Registry Board, he supported the CGPA’s mission—to raise corporate governance standards in Ukraine—and did so with his characteristic strategic thinking and sense of civic responsibility.
