On April 2, a meeting was held between Oleksandr Okuniev, Chair of the CGPA Board of Directors, and Volodymyr Ihonin, member of the CGPA Board of Directors and Partner at the law firm Vasil Kisil & Partners, with Michał Faleńczyk, Head of the OECD Office in Ukraine. Oleksandr Yarema, member of the Supervisory Board of JSC Ukrposhta, also joined the meeting.

The meeting marked an important step in developing CGPA’s cooperation with international institutions in the field of corporate governance.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current challenges and priorities for the development of corporate governance in Ukraine, as well as the role of the business community and professional associations in implementing international standards.

Particular attention was given to the following issues:

• the implementation of OECD principles in the practices of Ukrainian companies;
• the development of effective supervisory boards;
• strengthening the role of corporate governance in enhancing Ukraine’s investment attractiveness;
• possible areas of cooperation in training, exchange of experience, and expert support.

The meeting confirmed a shared vision of the importance of developing corporate governance as a key factor in Ukraine’s economic recovery and integration into international markets.

CGPA continues to actively develop partnerships with international organizations and implement global best practices in corporate governance in Ukraine.
