On September 27, 2018, Oleksandr Okuniev, the Chairman of the CGPA Management Board, took part as a speaker in the panel discussion “EFFICIENT SYSTEM OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT” of the II Kharkiv International Legal Forum.

Building an efficient, productive, accountable, corruption-free and well-balanced system of justice for ensuring the rule of law and improving the business climate constitutes a strategic task for all legal professionals. Under the development of the digital economy, the reformation of the system of justice has to consider the need to strengthen the legal protection of the informational and communicational environment from all kinds of violations. The goal of the discussion was to review the system of justice reforms and search for new guidelines and tools to defend the national economy from unlawful attacks, increase transparency and integrity in making business. Main points of discussion were:

• The role of bodies of criminal justice in the implementation of anti-corruption reform and the promotion of sustainable development of the economy;
• Anti-corruption compliance: opportunities and perspectives;
• Economic crimes: modern trends and innovative methods of counteraction

O.Okuniev talked about the implementation of anti-corruption compliance models as a business contribution to the fight against corruption.
