10.08.2021The National Registry of Corporate Directors continues to be internationalized

At the regular meeting of the Board of the National Registry of Corporate Directors, it was unanimously decided to include Damir Suyentayev, a professional independent director from Kazakhstan, and Margarita Korotkova, an experienced professional in the field of human resources management of large companies, in the National Registry of Corporate Directors.

Margarita Korotkova has more than 20 years of managerial experience in various positions in various industries and countries with different categories of staff. She combined the competencies of HRM with the experience of active work with the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine. He also has experience in implementing large-scale business development and transformation projects as an executive director, and development and implementation of digitalization projects in such companies as JSC “Ukrgazvydobuvannya”, groups of companies “Milkiland NV” and “Geo Alliance”.

Margarita is a member of the supervisory board of O.M. Beketov National University of Urban Economy in Kharkiv since 2019. She was a member of the board of the The Kyiv City Organization of Employers of the Oil and Gas Industry during 2017-2021.

Damir Suyentaev became the first Kazakhstani citizen – holder of the highest professional degree of the Institute of Directors UK – Chartered Director (confirmed director).The Institute of Directors, UK (founded in 1903) is the only organization in the world that has the right, based on the Royal Charter, to confirm the qualification of a director on the basis of managerial experience, business results, high knowledge and excellent business reputation.

Damir has 19 years’ work experience, during different years he held administrative and managerial positions in such organizations as Kazyna JSC, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Damu JSC, Kazakhstan Engineering JSC, Atameken NPP, Republican Union of Secondary Metallurgy Industrialists, Kazakh Humanitarian-Legal University and others. For 10 years Damir was a member of the Board of Directors, Independent Director, Chairman of the Audit, Strategy, Risks and Personnel Committee at Kazagrogarant JSC, SPK Almaty JSC, Kazakhexport JSC, Kazakhstan Mortgage Company JSC, KOREM JSC, JSC “Passenger Transportation”etc. Since 2015, he has headed a business association and worked in the private sector, as well as an advisor to the Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan. Since 2019, on a volunteer basis, advises the Municipal Hospitals of Almaty and Nur-Sultan on corporate governance issues.
