Nina Dombrovska represented the CGPA at the four-day tutor workshop on “Inclusive Leadership for Sustainable Growth”, organised within the framework of the IFC’s Integrated Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Standards Program in Europe and Central Asia, implementing with the financial support of the Government of Switzerland (SECO). The goal of the Program is to promote and assist companies in adopting best corporate governance practices, thereby contributing to their ability to attract sustainable investment. Nina joined the Corporate Governance Professional Association’s ESG topic development team and co-founded Women on Boards Ukraine. Nina shared her impressions:
“The seminar was a powerful tool to increase the participants’ understanding of inclusive leadership in the overall context of ESG principles. Participants received a modern and interactive methodology and a lot of theoretical knowledge to formulate training and information events. The topic of inclusive leadership, taking into account the impact of the war, is becoming very relevant for Ukraine. Also, the issue of underrepresentation of women in supervisory boards and management positions, as well as the low level of awareness and implementation of ESG principles in Ukrainian business will hinder Ukraine’s rapid development on the way to the European Union. We must change our thinking and approaches in this direction. I am very pleased that CGPA in cooperation with IFC is ready to make its important contribution.”
The CGPA plans to integrate this important issue into its programs in the near future with the help of the seminar materials in order to promote positive changes in the country in these areas.
