On September 9, 2021, the Zoom Breakfast “ESG Transparency Index 2020 Ukraine: Questions and Answers” was held, where Maryna Saprykina, Head of the CSR Ukraine Center, and Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board, spoke about the evaluation methodology, selection of companies, terms, and categories of the company’s transparency evaluation and the ESG index.

The Corporate Governance Professional Association and the CSR Ukraine Center, with the support of the Center for International Private Entrepreneurship (CIPE), conduct an annual assessment of Ukrainian companies for transparency in corporate governance and corporate social responsibility – ESG Transparency Index 2020.

The TOP 50 largest taxpayers in Ukraine are assessed according to the State Tax Service and companies that are not included in the TOP 50 largest taxpayers.

The company only needs to fill out a questionnaire to participate in the evaluation, which confirms its desire to be evaluated.

The speakers stressed that only open data is evaluated, so nothing more is required from companies than the desire and consent to evaluate.

The main evaluation criteria are reporting, navigation and accessibility. In addition, for the first time this year, Ukrainian business will be evaluated in comparison with companies in Kazakhstan!
