On December 6, 2018, Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board, spoke at a workshop on Anti-Corruption Compliance Audit Standards, organized by the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) under the leadership of Frank Brown, Director of the Center for Corruption and Good Governance.
The event was attended by representatives of the Compliance Community under the auspices of CIPE from such countries as Moldova, Turkey, Nigeria, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, USA.
The participants shared their experience in introducing anti-corruption complicity elements in their countries, establishing networks of integrity, organizing training seminars and anti-corruption programs, as well as certification opportunities for companies and individuals.
Kulvech Janvatanavit, President and CEO of the Thai Institute of Directors (IOD), CIPE Principal Adviser on the “Coalition of Thai Private Companies in Collective Action in the Field of Fighting Corruption (SAS)”, held a session on “Firm-based Voluntary Corporate Standards”. He shared the experience of introducing a certification procedure for the level of integrity and compliance of Thai companies.
Neslihan Yakal, Secretary General of the Turkish Ethics and Reputation Society (TEID), shared her experience of working with representatives of government institutions and noted their role in promoting standards of ethics and business integrity.
Oleksandr Okuniev, shared the experience of conducting training programs for Compliance Officers over the past four years. He noted that 8 programs had been carried out and 140 already received certificates, they passed successfully tests and defended the final group project.
The next Program for Compliance Officers is scheduled for April 15-19, 2019. Registration is open.
