At its regular meeting, the Board of the National Registry of Corporate Directors (hereinafter – the Registry) decided to include Sergiy Balchenko, Managing Partner of BDO in Ukraine, in the Registry. BDO in Ukraine is a part of the BDO network, one of the largest international audit and consulting firms providing a wide range of services in audit, corporate finance, business restructuring, etc.

Sergiy Balchenko has many years of management experience and in-depth knowledge of the specifics of enterprises in various sectors of the Ukrainian economy. Under his long-term leadership, BDO LLC provides audit and accounting services, tax consulting, corporate governance and investment attraction services for clients, acquisition and sale of businesses, asset valuation, cybersecurity services, as well as development and sale of ERP systems for small and medium-sized companies, in an impeccable and high-quality manner. Many Ukrainian businesses and banks have succeeded through cooperation with BDO in the Ukrainian and European markets.

Many years of experience in the Ukrainian economy, which is characterised by significant fluctuations, gave Mr Balchenko the expertise and ability to anticipate and adapt to changing market conditions and customer requirements, as well as to identify new opportunities and challenges for the company and maintain a successful and profitable business, ensure sustainable business development in a crisis environment.

During his membership in the Supervisory Board of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in 2001-2002, S. Balchenko was involved in solving the perspective tasks of the University’s development, attracting financial resources to support its activities in the main areas of development and controlling their use, effective interaction of the higher education institution with state and local authorities in the interests of development and improvement of the quality of educational activities and competitiveness of the higher education institution. In 2014-2018, he was a Supervisory Board of PJSC “State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine” member. In the work of the Supervisory Board of the Bank, Sergiy Balchenko focused on the efficiency of corporate governance and ensuring control over the effective functioning of the internal control system in cooperation with the risk management system.
