Dear Colleagues,
2024 was a time of new challenges, achievements, and necessary steps forward in developing corporate governance and anti-corruption compliance in Ukraine. Thank you for being with us and for your trust and loyalty!

Initiatives implemented this year:

1️⃣ Corporate Directors Solidarity Fund

The CGPA created the Foundation to support colleagues who are unable to finance their studies at the Corporate Director program due to the war. Thanks to this, scholarships have already been awarded to military personnel who want to develop themselves. Detailed information on joining this initiative or becoming a scholarship candidate can be found on the Foundation’s website.

2️⃣ Resource Center

The launch of the Resource Center by the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) has provided an opportunity for members of supervisory boards, corporate secretaries and other corporate governance professionals to get acquainted with systematized materials in one place. Details are available on the website.

3️⃣ Project «Board Test-Drive»

The CGPA has launched a unique project that gives businesses the opportunity to evaluate the benefits of working with advisory and supervisory boards in real life and candidates for board members to gain valuable experience and practical skills in such bodies. 4️⃣ 40+ events

In 2024, the Institute conducted 30 training programs for corporate directors, corporate secretaries, lawyers and compliance officers, and CGPA held more than 10 experience sharing events for various categories of corporate governance professionals.

5️⃣ Practical Guide “Self-Assessment of the Supervisory Board”

CGPA has prepared a unique guide to help supervisory boards assess their effectiveness and implement changes to improve. The practical guide is freely available on our website.

6️⃣ The support of CGPA and the Institute by international partners – IFC, EBRD, CIPE – has made it possible to implement the best practices of corporate governance and compliance in our event programs.

7️⃣ This year, the CGPA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, which laid the basis for cooperation in training candidates for the positions of members of supervisory boards of state-owned companies.

8️⃣ The Institute has been actively implementing corporate governance and compliance programs for banks and real sector companies. The clients of the programs were the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, Ukrtransgaz, Agroprosperis Bank, and Cominbank. We have plans to conduct such programs in 2025.
