The Corporate Governance Professional Association (CGPA) in Ukraine is the first institute of directors joining ecoDa as candidate member. As candidate member CGPA will benefit from ecoDa\u2019s professional representation and network of European directors.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy introducing a candidate membership ecoDa hopes to support a pool of directors who can also gain experience in other European countries. CGPA have a membership of relatively young directors, well trained, and ready to serve in European companies, underlines B\u00e9atrice Richez-Baum, Director General of ecoDa.<\/p>\n
The Ukrainian association was created in 2009 but the tragic situation that Ukraine is currently experiencing encourages ecoDa to strengthen its ties with CGPA without further delay. \u201cThis relationship is essential to maintain our pool of active directors in close connection with the rest of Europe\u201d, added Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board. \u201cWe are very happy about this connection and will do everything we can to support Ukraine in our own way\u201d, pointed out Leena Linnainmaa, ecoDa\u2019s Chair.<\/p>\n
About the European Confederation of Directors Associations (ecoDa)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The European Confederation of Directors Associations (ecoDa) is a not-for-profit association founded in December 2004 under the laws of Belgium. Through its 20 national institutes of directors (the main national institutes existing in Europe), ecoDa represents approximately 55,000 board directors from across the EU. ecoDa\u2019s member organizations represent board directors from the largest public companies to the smallest private firms, both listed and unlisted.<\/em><\/p>\n
