Olena also noted that IFC supported <\/span>CGPA<span>&#8216;s activity in establishing good corporate governance in Ukraine for many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Oleksandr Okuni<\/strong><span><strong>ev<\/strong>, Chairman of the <\/span>CGPA Management <span>Board, focused the attention of the participants on the main advantages of quality corporate governance, &#8220;world standards&#8221; and &#8220;best practice&#8221; of corporate governance, approaches to building an effective model of corporate governance in companies, the main tasks of the <\/span>Board<span>. O. Okunev also touched upon the types of directors on the Board, independent directors&#8217; role, and the concept of &#8220;Diversity&#8221; on the Board.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" data-id=\"10732\" src=\"https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/222-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10732 alignright\" style=\"border-width: 10px; margin: 10px;\" caption=\"false\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/222-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/222-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/222-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/222.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The second day of the first module of the Corporate Director Program began with a discussion of practical issues related to the Supervisory Board organization discussed by <strong>Oleg Zhuravl<\/strong><\/span><strong>o<\/strong><span><strong>v<\/strong>, <\/span>D<span>eputy <\/span>C<span>hairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia and <\/span>C<span>hairman of the Supervisory Board of Krona Insurance Company. The first issue on which Oleg drew the participants&#8217; attention was the Induction Session, without which it is sometimes challenging to do without, especially if the new board member is a foreigner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Also, Oleg Zhuravl<\/span>o<span>v separately focused on planning <\/span>Boards&#8217;<span> meetings and the work of committees, their composition, and structure. The issue of leadership and management from the standpoint of corporate culture and the Board of Directors was discussed separately.
