We continue to work despite the quarantine and the extraordinary situation in Ukraine and around the world today. On June 16-17, 2020<\/strong>, the first module of the Corporate Director Program for the professional development of members of supervisory boards and boards of directors was held.<\/p>\n

The participants of the Program were congratulated by Olena Voloshina<\/strong>, Head of IFC\u2019s Operations in Ukraine. Olena noted the peculiarities of cooperation between the International Finance Corporation and CGPA, noting that IFC has supported the Corporate Directors Program and the annual International Corporate Directors Forum from the beginning of the implementation.\"\"<\/p>\n

The peculiarity of this Program is that it was held in a new interactive format. Some participants were in the classroom with teachers, and other participants and speakers participated online.<\/p>\n

\u201cNew challenges and new answers to them. The crisis is not a time to give up, but a time to learn new things and move forward,” Oleksandr Okuniev<\/strong>, Chairman of the CGPA Management Board and the ideological inspirer of the Corporate Director Program.<\/p>\n

Recently, we have often heard the opinion that foreigners on the supervisory boards of Ukrainian companies can rarely become vital because they do not understand the Ukrainian context, and it is difficult for them to understand the specifics of the company and the industry in which the company operates. We believe that if they are professionals, they will succeed. For the adaptation in a new environment of the country and the company to pass quickly, painlessly, and effectively, it is necessary to introduce a procedure for the introduction of each new member of the supervisory board – Induction Session. This was precisely what Oleg Zhuravlov<\/strong>, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of PJSC “IC “Krona,” Advisor to the Chairman of the CGPA Management Board, Advisor to the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, told the Program participants. Oleg is always ready to share his experience and give ready-made life skills for the success of the Supervisory Board members.<\/p>\n
