The guidance papers and other related materials promote the harmonization of Ukrainian legislation on corporate relations with relevant international law and facilitate its reform by using experience of developed democracies.\u200b<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong><span>Practical Guide &#8220;Self-Assessment of the Supervisory Board&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" data-id=\"15589\" src=\"https:\/\/cgpa.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/samoocinka_titul_110_granytsa.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"110\" height=\"156\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-15589\" \/>The Practical Guide was developed and published with the support of the IFC\u2019s Promoting Investment through Integrated Environmental, Social and Governance Standards in Europe and Central Asia Programme, implemented in partnership with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The aim of the Programme is to encourage and assist companies in adopting best corporate governance practices, thereby enhancing their ability to attract sustainable investment. The Practical Guide addresses key questions such as: who conducts the self-assessment and in what order; which aspects of the Board&#8217;s work, its committees, and individual members are evaluated; which documents are reviewed; what scoring methodology (determining the specific weight) can be used for each assessment aspect; the format of the self-assessment report; how the report is discussed; and how identified shortcomings are addressed, among other topics. The translation and Ukrainian edition were made possible with the support of the Press, Education and Culture Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine in 2022. CGPA CEO Alexander Okunev was the author of the manual.\u00a0<br \/>\nThe manual includes materials generally called &#8211; \u00abinternational standards of corporate governance for unlisted companies\u00bb &#8211; Principles of ECODA and Spanish Code of Corporate Governance for unlisted companies as well as examples of successful implementation of best corporate governance practices in companies in Brazil. The main part of the guide is the first in Ukraine Corporate Governance Code for private and family companies, based on the international standards and adapted to local legislation and business practices. The Code is based on international standards and adapted to local legislation and business practices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/images\/files\/Kodeks.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Code (Ukr)<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff8c00;\"><strong>Corporate Secretary\u2019s Professional Standard\u00a0\u200b<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Professional Standard of Corporate Secretary was prepared under the leadership of CGPA CEO Alexander Okunev. The objective of the standard is a development of common understanding in Ukraine the role and functions of corporate secretary, and its place in the JSCs.
