Oleksandr Okuniev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Professional Association.
He is a known expert in the field of corporate governance and corporate law in Ukraine.
Oleksandr has many years of experience consulting projects as a part of the consultant team of the International Finance Corporation in Ukraine (1996-2001), International Institute of Business (2001-2012) and the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Institute (since 2012).
He is a member of the Expert Council on Corporate Governance of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine.
Oleksandr is a co-author of the first Ukrainian manual on corporate governance (1999) and the Handbook of International Corporate Governance (edited by the British Institute of Directors, London, 2005 ); author of the handbook "Corporate governance in the private and family companies " (2012) and over 60 publications on corporate law and governance.
Eric Hontz, Program Officer, Eurasia, CIPE. Eric is a founding member of the board of a community development corporation, which recently started Baltimore's first innovation district, and actively contributes to the Maryland Business Law Developments blog. In prior roles, Eric was an associate at a law firm and a vice president at an investment bank, where he reviewed complex alternative investment products. Eric holds bachelor’s degrees in Russian and Political Science from the University of Montana, a juris doctor and master of business administration from the University of Maryland, and is licensed to practice law in Maryland. Eric also spent time studying at the Russian State University for Humanities, holds a certificate from the Institute Organization Management for nonprofit management from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and served in the Peace Corps in Severodonetsk, Lugansk Oblast, Ukraine.

Volodymyr Igonin, Counsel, Vasil Kisil & Partners. Volodymyr develops corporate / M&A practice of the firm. He provides complex legal assistance to both foreign and local clients on complex transactions involving assets and companies located in Ukraine. His work involves legal due diligence, transaction structuring and support, drafting and negotiating complex agreements, tax planning, advising on project finance, regulatory and other actual business matters. Another pole of Volodymyr's practice is corporate structuring of business, including establishing holding structures using foreign jurisdictions, and advising on corporate governance issues. The core industries for Mr. Igonin, where he has deep practical expertise and experience, are agribusiness, telecommunications and media, real estate, natural resources and PPP.

Elena Voloshina, the Head of IFC’s operations in Ukraine. Ms. Voloshina coordinates the work performed by IFC in Ukraine.  She carries out investment promotion as well as work on certain investment projects.  She is also actively involved in the work of advisory donor-funded programs that IFC is implementing across Ukraine. Prior to her appointment in December 1996, Ms. Voloshina occupied the position of Deputy Project Manager and then Project Manager for IFC’s Small-Scale Privatization Project (1994 - 1996) supervising the work of consultants on small-scale privatization in 18 cities of Ukraine and coordinating IFC relations with the Ukrainian Government at all levels.  Ms. Voloshina began her career with IFC in 1992 when IFC first launched its operation in Ukraine. During her tenure at IFC up to present, Ms. Voloshina has served a number of various positions which enabled her to acquire extensive experience in consulting on a wide range of privatization and investment related issues.

Yaroslav Kinakh, President of Iskander Energy Corporation. More than 25 years working in corporate and international finance at Toronto Dominion Bank. From 1995 to 1999 he headed the EBRD in Ukraine. He has an MBA degree from Columbia University.

Mark Iwashko. Professional with 20 years experience in the investment business. Co-founder of Horizon Capital, one of the largest in Ukraine and regional investment funds. He received three degrees in the United States (among them – MBA Harvard).

Andriy Boytsun. SOE Reform and Privatisation Advisor, Strategic Advisory Group for Supporting Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR). Dr Andriy Boytsun works at the Strategic Advisory Group for Supporting Ukrainian Reforms (SAGSUR), led by the renowned Slovak reformer Ivan Mikloš. Andriy’s responsibilities include advising the government on the reform of corporate governance in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and privatisation. Andriy is an independent member of the SOE Nomination Committee, which is responsible for nominating CEOs and supervisory board members in the country’s most important SOEs. He is also a co-founder of the Ukrainian Corporate Governance Academy (UCGA), where he serves as Vice-President for Policy. Previously, Andriy worked as Research Director at the Centre for Economic Strategy (CES), Ukraine’s leading economic think tank. Prior to joining CES, Andriy was an Adviser to the CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the country’s largest company. In that capacity, he developed the conceptual framework for the corporate governance reform of Naftogaz. He also developed, together with EBRD and Baker McKenzie, the corporate governance action plan for Naftogaz, helping to make the company the pioneer of corporate governance in Ukraine. Andriy designed the corporate governance reform for Ukrenergo, the national electricity transmission system operator (together with Baker McKenzie), Ukrposhta, the national postal operator (together with EY and Kinstellar), and the state-owned banks (together with the Ministry of Finance and PricewaterhouseCoopers). He was also part of the teams that drafted Ukraine’s new law on corporate governance is SOEs and its new privatisation law. Andriy has over 15 years of experience in scientific research and policy analysis. From 2000, he worked as Assistant and later as Visiting Professor and Research Fellow at the University of Antwerp (Belgium), where he did research on corporate governance and taught courses in management. He was also a member of the organising team of the annual conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and an active contributor to the Belgian mass media on Ukraine-related issues. Andriy holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Antwerp (Belgium), where he defended a doctoral thesis on corporate governance. Previously, he had obtained a Master’s degree in International Economic Relations (magna cum laude) from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Vsevolod Kovalchuk, CEO at Ukrenergo, responsible for observing Ukrenergo operational activity, development strategy, investments and international cooperation. Vsevolod Kovalchuk is the first top manager to drastically change the principles of management and project implementation and create a new team of reformers. Before his appointment as CEO, he has been working at the Company for several years, studying Ukrenergo from the inside and managing investments and cooperation with international financial institutions. In 2008, Vsevolod worked as the Executive Director for Economic Policy and Analysis and Acting Vice President for Finance at Energoatom NJSEC, Ukrainian state generating company producing over 50% of electricity in the country. During 2001-07, Vsevolod worked at the NJSC Nafrogaz of Ukraine. As a Department Director, Vsevolod has improved the system of information and analytical support, improving the efficiency of the managerial decisions. He possesses an extensive experience in the private sector of economy.  A graduate of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, faculty of economy, holding master’s degree in management.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, chief investment and strategy officer NPC Ukrenergo. Responsible for strategic planning, project management, implementation of investment policy, change management and relations with international creditors. His main responsibility concerns implementation of the Company reform strategy and investment projects. Before his appointment at the NPC Ukrenergo, Volodymyr worked as a Director for Development at the PJSC Ukrtransnafta, operations manager and director for internal audit at the leading international and Ukrainian companies: MHP S.A., EastOne, TNK-ВР, Grant Thornton. During his career, Volodymyr participated in various projects regarding enhancing efficiency of business and corporate governance, capital investments management, procurements, logistics, trading and sales, and production processes management. A graduate of the Kyiv National University of Economics with the degree in international economics, member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (АССА), certified internal auditor of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IІА), and member of the consultative and supervisory group of the Construction Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST).

Maksym Yurkov, chief legal officer Ukrenergo.Responsible for legal department management, organizing cooperation on legal matters with the Company’s subdivisions and administrative body as well as with other public bodies. Before his appointment at Ukrenergo, Maksym had been working for over fifteen years in his field of specialization, heading legal departments in the leading Ukrainian companies, a legal services company and a law firm. It helped him gain extensive experience and high professional skills in the fields of corporate, commercial, land, civil and criminal law and as a defender in courts of various instances and jurisdictions. While in private sector, Maksym worked with international institutions and funds, EBRD, Verkhovna Rada committees, Ministry of Justice and other government agencies. Maksym improved his skills in various areas of law practice at the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine and at the Institute for Improvement of Skills of Senior Executives. A graduate of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Maksym Yurkov has a PhD degree in law and a certificate of attorney-in-law.
